Monrovia City Court Judge Forwards Commissioner of Independent Nat’l Commission on Human Rights…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Judge Ben Barco of the Monrovia City Court has forwarded the Commissioner of the Independent National Commission on Human Rights (INCHR) to Criminal Court ‘E’ for alleged sexual assault.

Judge Barco’s ruling emanates from a complaint filed by an employee of the INCHR, Beatrice Wesseh.

Madam Wesseh alleged that on June 10, 2022, while dancing with her friend, Commissioner Mohammed Fahnbulleh came from behind and started playing with her breasts and buttocks.

She alleged that Fahnbulleh has been harassing her for sex at the office, threatening to dismiss her.

The Monrovia City Court Judge, in his ruling, indicated that his court has no jurisdiction over sexual offenses.
