MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Executive Director of the Liberia Refugee Repatriation and Resettlement Commission (LRRRC) has described as successful the first phase of the repatriation program.

Mr. Patrick Worzie said:” The ninety-day program is meant to repatriate more than four thousand stranded Liberians from Ghana. The move demonstrates the Government of Liberia’s commitment to protecting its citizens at home and abroad.”

Mr. Worzie urged the returnees to be law-abiding as their protection and reintegration remains a major priority of the Government.

Mr. Patrick Worzie made the statement over the weekend at the CARI Regional Transit Village in Gbarnga, Bong County, when he officially welcomed seven hundred seventy former Liberian Refugees to Liberia.

At the same time, Bong County Senator Johnny Kpehe is rallying Liberians to demonstrate love for their compatriots returning home from Ghana.

The Bong County Senator wants Liberians to accept and work with them to mode their minds, as the Government reintegrates them into the society.

Senator Kpehe also thanked President Joseph Boakai for the rapid intervention to ensure that the stranded Liberians returned home.
