Liberia Broadcasting System Boss Confirms Turnover Note…..

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Director General of the Liberia Broadcasting Corporation (LBS), Eugene Fahngon, has confirmed a turnover note of one hundred thousand US Dollars in the System’s account left by the past management team.

Recently, two LBS Deputies, Jallah Grayfield and Isaac Redd, in their respective social media posts, accused Mr. Fahngon of reporting that the former LBS Management left a zero-balance account.

But, addressing a news conference on Wednesday, May 16, 2024, in Paynesville City, the LBS Boss said:” The one-hundred thousand left in the System’s account is still intact. But the current LBS Management Team has made steady progress in less than two months.”

Mr. Fahngon named vehicle repairs, security system, elevating volunteers to contractors, health insurance for workers, and the refurbishment of the System’s facilities, among others.

Meanwhile, the LBS Management has announced an increment of pension benefits for eight former employees of the System.

The LBS Director General said:” The benefit will be raised from a little over one thousand Liberia Dollars to ten thousand for each pensioner with immediate effect.”

Mr. Eugene Fahngon believes that it is important for those who served their Country well to be given a just benefit upon retirement.
