Liberian Gov. Delegation Leaves for Ghana Today

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A high-power Liberian Government Delegation is expected to leave the Country today, Monday, for Ghana to begin the repatriation of more than four thousand stranded Liberians.

It followed the demolition of the Buduburam Refugee Camp which was hosting them.

The Delegation includes representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Liberia Refugees Repatriation Resettlement Commission (LRRRC), and the Ministries of Information, Gender, and Liberia Broadcasting System, among others.

A release quotes the LRRRC Executive Director, Patrick Worzie, as disclosing that the process will be done under the auspices of his entity.

Mr. Worzie, however, expressed appreciation to the Government and people of Ghana for their hospitality towards Liberians who are about to be repatriated.
