Pres. Boakai Underscores Improved Road Connectivity and Communication…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has underscored improved road connectivity and communications to foster development in the Sub-region.

President Boakai said:” Better road network paves the way for the exchange of goods and services among member states of the Mano River Union and beyond.”

According to the President, this will ensure rapid growth and economic development as well as an enhanced security network.

The Liberian Leader made the remarks at the Millennium Compact Corporation’s Presidential Plenary in Dallas, Texas.

The event is part of the 16th Session of the US-Africa Business Summit that creates the opportunity for Africans and business leaders to proffer ideas for sustained trade and commerce on the continent.

Meanwhile, President Boakai has lauded the MCC for the tremendous impact made in the Energy Sector.

He said:” The over two hundred million dollars signed for by the Liberian Government a decade ago was used to upgrade the Country’s electricity deficit.”

The Liberian Leader noted that the upgrade in the Energy Sector led to rapid economic growth through the expansion of businesses.

Speaking at the MCC Presidential Plenary on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, the Liberian Leader expressed the hope that future grants can be used to further improve the lives of the citizens.

President Joseph Boakai said the Government of Liberia will endeavor to live up to the aspirations of the people through the full implementation of the ARREST Agenda.
