Gov. of Liberia Dismisses Rumors…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia has dismissed rumors that harmful drugs were discovered in the Presidential Convoy recently at the Roberts International Airport in Margibi County.

Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah termed the report as untrue and a mere propaganda intended to besmear the reputation of the Presidency.

Minister Piah made the clarification on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the MICAT Press Briefing in Monrovia.

The Information Minister also urging those involved in such propaganda to desist, noting that the Government is committed to fighting drugs, a national emergency in the Country.

In another development, Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah has disclosed that President Joseph Boakai has intervened in the recent stalemate at the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) to restore sanctity at the Agency.
