Gov. of Liberia Begins Payment of Dismissed Workers of the Ministry of State

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia has begun payment of workers recently dismissed at the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs.

The dismissed workers are being paid for three and a half months owed them by the Government.

Making the disclosure on Monday, April 22, 2024, Presidential Press Secretary Kula Fofana said:” The ongoing payment is a coordinated effort implemented by the Ministries of State and Finance, and the process is to ensure that those dismissed workers get their just benefits consistent with services rendered to the Country.”

Recently, the contracts of several workers were terminated at the Ministry of State, due to what the Ministry called the unavailability of funds to incorporate all.
