MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A police officer has been sent to jail for allegedly stoning to death his friend in the Johansen Community, down Waterside, in Monrovia.

Defendant Kelvin Tama Davidson allegedly committed the act in October 2023 and was arrested and subsequently detained at the National Police Headquarters.

Police investigations revealed that an altercation ensued between Officer Kelvin and the deceased identified as Zanzan Dent after the suspect reportedly refused to wash a bed sheet on which he had vomited.

The police report said the situation generated a tussle when the suspect took rocks and stoned the victim, making him unconscious.

The victim was rushed to the Afro Medical Clinic where he was pronounced dead.
