MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Criminal Court ‘D’ has sentenced nine armed robbers to seven, nine, and ten years, respectively.

Judge Mameita Jabateh Sirleaf announced the sentences on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, during the final adjudication of the proceedings.

The ten-year convicts are Diamond Zinnah, Emmanuel Roberts, and Janjay Borbor.

Others are Rose Okellie, Darling Girl Tamba, Melvin Chayee, George Willie, Emmanuel Tuwleh, and Wilfred Patry, seven and nine years imprisonment, respectively.

Reading the probation report from the Ministry of Justice, Judge Jabateh Sheriff disclosed that almost all the convicts are repeat offenders.

They were convicted after repeated terrorization of locals in the Grand Gedeh Community in Duazon, Lower Margibi County in November 2023.
