Chief Justice Yuoh Sets up Review Committee on Revised Courts’ Rules and Professional Ethics

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Chief Justice Sie-A-Nyeneh Yuoh has constituted a Review Committee on Revised Courts’ Rules and Professional Ethics in the Justice System.

Former Chief Justice Francis Korkpor has been named as Chairperson of the Committee.

Members of the Committee include Retired Associate Justice, Philip Banks, former Associate Justice Wilkins Wright, Cllr. Gladys Johnson, and Judges Roosevelt Willie, Osman Feika, and Betty Lamin Blamo.

Others are Judge Golda Bonah Elliot, Cllrs. Ruth Jappah, Jallah Barbu, Cyril Jones, Sylvester Rennie and Edwin Gausi.

The Committee, according to Chief Justice Yuoh, is charged with the responsibility to review present instruments, identify challenges, and shortcomings, and advance recommendations for perusal and action.

At the same time, the National Association of Public Defenders of Liberia will today, Friday, February 9, 2024, hold its Sixth Annual Convention at the Temple of Justice.

The convention will be held under the theme:” Lawyers and Clients’ Relationship”, the case of indigent clients, with the Liberian National Bar Association Secretary General, Cllr. Bornor Vamah, serving as Keynote Speaker.

Chief Justice Sie-A-Nyeneh Yuoh will deliver a special statement at the one-day gathering, with Counselors expected to be in attendance.
