SIB Bank Employee Arrested and Sent to Court for Alleged Theft of Property…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-An employee of the SIB Bank has been arrested and sent to court for alleged theft of property, misapplication of entrusted property, and criminal conspiracy.

Defendant John Gbenyan allegedly stole over three hundred thousand United States Dollars and over twenty-one million Liberian dollars.

Our Reporter quotes the Police investigation as revealing that the transactions were allegedly done from 2021 to 2023.

The charge sheet said defendant Gbenyan conspired and colluded with owners of several businesses, including staff of the Bank to steal the money.
