Trawally Brothers Identify with Tanker Explosion Survivors

BONG COUNTY, LIBERIA-Renown Liberian businessman and CEO of the National Toiletries Incorporated, Fomba Trawally, and his brother Musa Trawally, based in the United States, have identified with families of the gas tanker explosion in Totota, Bong County.

On Wednesday, the Trawally brothers donated items worth 450 thousand Liberian Dollars to the Disaster Coordination Committee in Totota.

The donated items include fifty boxes of tissues, fifty boxes of Clorox, and fifty boxes of slippers.

Presenting the items, Musa Trawally, Director of Community Development for the African Cultural Alliance of North America in Philadelphia said:” The move is to identify and sympathize with the affected families.”

He called on Liberians across the world to provide more support to survivors of the tragedy.

“Everywhere meaningful Liberians are, they are all in sorrow with you in this situation,” Mr. Trawally added.

Speaking earlier, National Toiletries Incorporated CEO and Vice President of the Liberian Business Association, Fomba Trawally, consoled the people of Totota for the loss sustained.

He urged Liberians to pray not to witness such tragedy again as the country has been through a lot of struggles.

Receiving the items, Bong County Disaster Management Coordinator, Jeremiah Sherman, expressed thanks and appreciated the Trawally brothers for the donation.

Mr. Sherman assured that the items would be used for their intended purpose.

The donation from the Trawally brothers comes as local health authorities confirmed that thirty-two of the ninety-nine patients of the disaster in various hospitals have died.

The National Disaster Management Agency following a National Disaster Coordination Platform Meeting held in Monrovia Tuesday also stressed the need for more assistance from local and international partners to cater to victims of the disaster.
