MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Criminal Court “A” has issued a Writ of Subpoena on the Chairperson of the Liberia Medical and Dental Council, to testify in the ongoing murder trial involving former Chief Justice, Gloria Musu Scott and three others.

Dr. Benetta Andrews is expected to appear before the court today Thursday, October 26, 2023, to testify and provide clarification on the issuance of a death certificate to a victim who was attended to by a physician assistant, other than a medical doctor.

The Court has threatened a contempt charge against Dr. Andrews if she fails to appear.

The appearance followed submission by the prosecution on Monday, October 23, 2023, during arguments concerning the body of Charloe Musu who was allegedly murdered at the home of defendant Scott and others in February this year.

The Defense Team argued that there were two conflicting names on the certificate which require clarification in the ongoing trial.
