China Hails Progress Made in Relationship with Liberia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Charge d’ Affairs at the Chinese Embassy in Monrovia has recognized the steady improvement in China-Liberia Diplomatic Relations, over the years.

Mr. Fan Erwei said:” Such progress in the diplomatic relationship is based on the shared principles of both Presidents George Weah and Xi Jinping.”

Mr. Fan made the remarks on Friday, September 22,203, at a program marking the 74th Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China at its embassy in Congo Town.

Mr. Fan Erwei said:” Corporation between Liberia and China has produced fruitful results in the areas of the economy and trade, healthcare, infrastructure and human resource development.”

The Chinese Embassy Charge d’ Affairs disclosed that his government is embarking on a new journey towards fully building a modern socialist country to further strengthen its ties with allies.

Meanwhile, Acting Foreign Minister, Cllr. Deweh Gray has noted with deep appreciation the technical and economic assistance China continues to render Liberia.

Cllr. Gray said:” China’s support to Liberia over the years has been meaningful to the Liberian Government’s current development agenda, the Pro-Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development (PAPD).”

The Acting Foreign Minister named the Ministerial Complex, which hosts a number of Government ministries and agencies, as one of China’s landmark projects that has relieved the Government of rental payment.

Minister Deweh Gray, on behalf of the Government and PEOPLE OF Liberia, congratulated Chinese President Xi Jinping and the entire citizenry for leading by example in global trade and economic development.
