Coalition for Democratic Change Campaign Committee Reaffirms Commitment…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Campaign Committee of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) has reaffirmed the party’s commitment to the conduct of an issue-based campaign, that emphasizes the exceptional record of development and good governance of President George Weah.

The CDC Campaign has also stressed the importance of maintaining a peaceful democratic environment.

According to a release issued recently, the Weah-Taylor Campaign Committee has, therefore, condemned the action of some of its over-exuberant supporters, who marched the streets toting a casket on Saturday, during the official start of the period of political campaign for the Presidential and Legislative Elections in October.

This action, the CDC Campaign Committee said is unacceptable and does not represent the set of activities that have been envisioned to characterize this crucial democratic exercise.

The Committee believes that the unprecedented gains the Weah Administration made over the years provide sufficient reasons for a massive victory in the upcoming elections.

It, therefore, urged everyone working towards this ultimate goal to remain on message.

The Committee wished to thank all partisans, auxiliaries, and supporters for their steadfast commitment to ensuring the re-election of President George Weah and urges them to continue to work hard, rain or shine until a resounding victory is achieved.
