Thousands to Benefit from USAID Five-Year Water Project

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Thousands of Montserrado and Margibi Counties residents are expected to benefit from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-sponsored five-year Water Project.

It followed the recent launch of the project by USAID.

USAID Director for Water, Security, Sanitation and Hygiene, Jeff Goldberg, told ELBC Super Morning Show on Thursday, May 18, 2023, that the project is part of the US Government’s increased support to the WAS H Sector in Liberia.

Mr. Goldberg said:” Liberia, as one of twenty-two high-priority countries for WASH support, was selected based on needs and opportunities”.

Also speaking, USAID WASH Specialist, Christian Smith, disclosed that the project seeks to promote decentralization and multi-stakeholder coordination.
