Police investigates parents of dead baby in Nimba County

SANNIQUELLIE, NIMBA COUNTY, LIBERIA-Police in Sanniquellie, Nimba County, are investigating the parents of a dead baby discovered in a lagoon.

The incident happened near the Farngalo Street Community. The Community Chairman, Othello Danka, said the baby was discovered on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, with the right hand cut off.

Mr. Danka said police were quickly informed about the situation, prompting an investigation and subsequent arrest of the infant’s mother identified as Mary Flomo and her sister Alice Flomo.

The other suspect, Prince Saye, the child’s father, has been on the run since the incident.

The child was less than a year old.
