MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The People’s Liberation Party (PLP) has suspended its Acting National Secretary General, David Beyan, for time indefinite.

Mr. Beyan suspension comes after a Liberia National Police investigation found that he raised false alarm by claiming he was attacked and shot by unknown men robbers.

But the police found that Mr. Beyan accidentally shot himself with an illegal weapon and framed the incident.

In a statement, the PLP strongly condemned the action of Mr. Beyan, adding that it is in direct violation of the party’s norms, core values and code of conduct.
