VP Taylor wants serious support to institutions training, mentoring young Liberian Girls

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor has called for critical support to institutions providing training and mentorship for young Liberian girls.

Madam Taylor said:” Over the years, institutions helping the Government of Liberia to provide training and empowerment for girls have last funding.”

Madam Taylor was making specific reference to the YWCA in Congo Town, where she broke grounds for the construction of a safe home and learning centers for girls.

Speaking at the ceremony over the weekend, the VP vowed to continue lobbying for an increase in support to the YWCA through the National Budget.

She thanked Liberia’s leading cement producer, CEMENCO, and other partners for contributing significantly to the project expected to be completed within six months
