Pres. Weah opens three-day Nat’l Conference on Environment and Climate Change

CONGO TOWN, MONROVIA-President George Weah has formally opened a three-day Nationally Conference on Environment and Climate Change at the Ministerial Complex in Congo Town, outside Monrovia.

The conference, which began today Wednesday, June 2, 2021, is being convened under the auspices of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

The occasion is being graced by the Liberian Leader, along with key national and international partners investing in the environmental sector of Liberia.

The conference seeks to promote awareness about the environment and strengthen coordination among policymakers, to achieve environmental protection and its sustainable management.

It can be recalled that President Weah, on behalf of the Liberian Government, safeguarded the D. Tweh High School against sea erosion in New Kru Town and West Point Township.

Meanwhile, sectorial line ministries and agencies of Government will sign the Monrovia Declaration and Memorandum of Understanding on the Environment and Climate Action.
