MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Chairperson of the National Elections Commission, Davidetta Browne Lansanah, has praised Carter Center – Liberia Governance Team-Lead, Barbara Smith, for supporting Civil Society Organizations in Liberia.

Madam Browne – Lansanah named one of the Civil Society Organizations as the Liberia Elections Observation Network (LEON).

LEON’s role has been to monitor democratic elections in Liberia.

Madam Browne – Lansanah spoke recently when Ms. Smith paid a courtesy call on the Board of Commissioners of NEC, to inform them about her end of duty in Liberia.
