MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Liberia has termed education as the foremost driver for national development in the Country.

Mr. Laurent Delahousse said:” Making young people creative through education is the surest way of improving their lives.”

Ambassador Delahousse made the comments on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, when the EU donated consignment of academic materials to the Paula Nest School System in Paynesville, outside Monrovia.

He said the gesture is the EU’s way of directly reaching out to Liberians, apart from other initiatives the EU is undertaking in the Country.

According to him, the visit to Paula Nest School System is also a show of support for kids’ education and the work of teachers in Liberia.
