Former State Council Vice Chairman, Oscar Jaryee Quiah, dies at 76

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Former State Council Vice Chairman of the Liberian National Transitional Government (LNTG), Oscar Jaryee Quiah, is dead.

He died on Saturday, January, 31, 2021, at the ELWA Hospital, after another battle with stroke. He was 76 years old.

A family statement said the former Council-man died peacefully in the presence of his children, after his third battle with stroke.

He served his country in various capacities, including Minister of Internal Affairs, Minister of Postal Telecom and Managing Director of Liberia Telecommunications Corporation.
