Care Africa Foundation provide healthcare for 200 people, plans to build clinic in ‘On Your Own Community’

BUCHANAN, GRAND BASSA – A United States-based Liberian humanitarian organization, Care Africa Foundation, has concluded a day medical outreach benefiting 200 people in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.

According to our Grand Bassa County Correspondent, Sampson David the outreach took place at ‘On Your Own Community’.

The Co-Founder of Care Africa Foundation, Madam Gormah Gwagee, said the beneficiaries were treated for minor cases, including malaria, typhoid, high-blood pressure and infections.

Madam Gwagee added that pregnant women and children were also vaccinated.

She put the cost of the outreach at a little over US4,000. Meanwhile, Care Africa Foundation is expected to construct a modern clinic in the On Your Own Community in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.

Madam Gwagee said the construction of the facility will buttress government’s health delivery efforts.

She also said the estimated cost of the project is US100,000.

The Foundation’s co-founder added that, upon completion of the modern clinic, services at the facility will be free.
