Port of Harper to be dredged…..

MARYLAND COUNTY, LIBERIA-International experts from the United States are in Maryland County to dredge the Port of Harper, to facilitate the docking of bigger vessels at the port.

Harper Port Manager, William Wallace, said:” The American experts are concluding ongoing assessment to begin the dredging process soon.”

Mr. Wallace disclosed that the Liberian Government has provided four additional vessels as compared to one vessel when he took over as Harper Port Manager.

He said over fifteen residents of Maryland County have been employed by the Harper Port Management, through the intervention of the government of Liberia.

Mr. Wallace further noted that with the additional four vessels, Harper Port was able to provide more jobs for residents of Maryland County.
