Liberia Cancer Initiative embarks on free breast cancer screening exercise Saturday in Paynesville

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Liberia Cancer Initiatives, in collaboration with the Health Ministry, is expected to offer free breast cancer screening Saturday, October 31, 2020, at the Effort Baptist Church in Paynesville.

The initiative is part of this year’s World Cancer Month celebration. The exercise is targeting women from ages 15 to 65, including men.

The disclosure was made Tuesday, October 27, 2020, by the Executive Director of the Liberia Cancer Initiatives, Christine Brooks-Jarrett, and the Cancer Coordinator at the Health Ministry Florence YahnqueeKiatamba.

According to the two health officials, a breast cancer awareness walk is expected on Saturday, and a fundraising and Cancer examination.
