LNTV begins test transmission, after…….

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian National Television (LNTV) has commenced test transmission after nearly two months off the air.

LNTV, the television component of the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS), went off the air in early June this year following a lightning strike that caused damage to the equipment.

After months of work by the system’s technicians and engineers and the arrival of new equipment, however, the test transmission began Wednesday, August 5, 2020.

LBS Chief Engineer, Tarweh Stewart, said the arrival of the new equipment will boost LNTV technical capacity.

For his part, LBS Technical Consultant, Bortfeldt Lloyd, expressed optimism that with the level of work done, LNTV is capable to withstand the negative impact of lightning strike.
