Man sentenced to four years for aggravated assault, manslaughter

LOFA COUNTY, LIBERIA-A 37-year old man has been sentenced to four years imprisonment by the 10th Judicial Circuit Court in Lofa County.

Defendant James Hallie was found guilty for aggravated assault and manslaughter of his former girl-friend Siah Kendimah.

ELBC Correspondent said Defendant Hallie beat on his ex-fiancée after accusing her of being in another relationship.

According to our Correspondent, the victim was rushed to the hospital after sustaining severe bruises as a result of the assault, but was pronounced dead.

Our Correspondent said Defendant Hallie pleaded guilty of the crimes and asked for mercy, but was denied because he threatened his victim earlier.
